Buy or rent your wedding dress?

Seeing that it was women's Day yesterday I decided to write about a subject just for the girls today.. So the question is, should you buy yourself a wedding dress or would renting it be better?

Surely every girl wants to look perfect and like a dream on her wedding day but I don't think that you will look less breathtaking in a rented dress! What makes renting the better option is that it can be lighter on your budget and you will only wear the dress that one time. What are you going to do with it for the next fifty years in your cupboard? The wedding dress shops are also very helpfull and capable of altering the dress to fit you perfectly. So you don't need to worry that it will not fit you.

But it is still your choice. . . And you will look beautiful whether bought or rented!

  1. I bought my dress. I thought I should make one rather than buy an already made one, but the I bought was perfect. My father said that we should rent it, but it wasn't for rent. My sister rented a dress, my other sister made a dress and I bought a dress and mine were almost R1000 cheaper than both of them.
I think renting a dress is more expensive, because you can only wear it once and never ever again. Sometimes you have to pay for changes and then you still have to give it back...I am keeping my dress!

  2. Anneke, I am rather jealous that you get to keep your dress. It is great that you have the opportunity to buy and keep your dress.. Enjoy!
